“Always design a thing by considering it in its next larger context - a chair in a room, a room in a house, a house in an environment, an environment in a city plan.”

Cardboard Horses - Ann Wood

I absolutely love these cardboard horses designed and made by Ann Wood
http://www.annwood.net/blog/

and these, or something similar would look gorgeous on one wall of my daughter's play room w/ a background of sky and clouds or magical forest. It would create a fabulous 3D effect.
Ann started making these horses in 2006. According to her, "they were a self imposed assignment, a daily creative task intended to motivate and loosen me up, little experiments, paralysis prevention. My plan was to make a cardboard horse everyday, Monday through Friday until I had 100. I did and exhibited the group at Tinlark in Los Angeles in 2007. I’ve made 3 patterns, two adults and a colt, to share and I hope you make a cardboard horse or two or three or maybe a little family or maybe your own stampede!" -Ann Wood

paint them, use various art papers, magazine pages, photos...etc...

Definitely more appealing stress relief than Sudoko, Crossword puzzles ...in my opinion ;o)
