“Always design a thing by considering it in its next larger context - a chair in a room, a room in a house, a house in an environment, an environment in a city plan.”

Who The F*** is Jenny Woo?

Jenny Woo is a new hot party scene, located in the heart of Helsinki. It is a Cross between a casual pub and high end nightclub inspired by some of the world's sexiest cities, such as Madrid, Tokyo, Toronto, Singapore New York and Bangkok

Name of this new hip bar was revealed no earlier than the opening night in November, ……but…… prior to that one of the founders, Riku Stenroos, was pondering on his Facebook profile status: "Who the f*** is Jenny Woo?", “Jenny Woo” also placed an add in Finland’s largest newspaper, Helsingin Sanomat, looking for a roommate for a flat over 5,000 sqf with 8 bathrooms, dance floor, and service to the tables. Many Helsinki residents were also shocked by the audacity of some vandals:

;o)

The message “Who the fuck is Jenny Woo?” was seen around Helsinki and in the media.

If you’re planning a trip to Helsinki, go and check out Jenny Woo!

"Smooth seas do not make skillful sailors"

I’m not saying this Economy crisis is a good thing. Of course it’s not, but instead of joining the other “Chicken Little’s” out there in screaming that the sky is falling, I’ve decided to have a different kind of attitude towards it. I’ve decided to think of this whole crisis like I look at spring house cleaning. It’s not something I want to do, but it’s something that is necessary. When times are good and things go smoothly and effortlessly we tend to get too comfortable and a bit lazy. We are so used to doing everything the way they have been done for years, but even if something is not broken it’s ok to take a second look and see if it could use some improvement . In times like these we need to break away to reassess and evaluate. We are forced to be more creative.

Hotel Room

This is a Hotel in which all the rooms are not under the same roof, in the same city or even in the same country.

Naturally this would be a product of my very eccentric native Finland.

Hotel Room # 1 is located in the area called Kallio in Helsinki. Kallio is the melting pot of students, young couples, homeless, and you can even spot The President of Finland walking in her former neighborhood. Besides its distinctive heterogeneous population Kallio is know for having vivid bar scene, alternative shops and ethnic restaurants.

In the future you might find the second room in East-Berlin. What will be common to these rooms is that they will all be located outside your typical tourist area, in more unorthodox and interesting locations.

If you are adventurous and want to experience the bohemian district of Finland, this would be an excellent choice for you.

Room #1 is a small fully furnished flat with complete kitchen and funky interior to make you feel that strange but alluring Finnish vibe.
